The summer on the Kronplatz is so varied that it will be difficult to choose: do you prefer the high mountain landscape with panoramic views or a motorcycle whirl around the valley? Do you want to change views, discover the world from above with the “zip-line”, stroll in Olang, climb, swim, ride or visit a museum - or do you want to do a little of everything? Your summer on Kronplatz: it’s time for an adventure.

 

Trekking across the Dolomites

No matter if you like walking on the flat terrain, uphill or climbing: you will find destinations suitable to your physical and mental level. Put on your hiking boots and go.

 

Walk for the entire family in the Olang Children’s World

Departure: Elementary school in Oberolang | Difficulty: easy | Duration: 7 minutes | Length: 0,5 km

Despite being a short walk, there is a lot to discover along this excursion for families. Fun and new experiences are guaranteed. The large playground is divided into 3 areas: playground in the woods, aquatic world & climbing world. The trail is accessible with strollers.

Walk for the entire family in the Olang Children’s World

From Olang to the Colli Alti Lake & Punta Tre Dita

Departure: Hotel Bad Bergfall/Bagni Pervalle | Difficulty: medium | Duration: 4,5 h | Length: 11,4 km

From Hotel Bad Bergfall you walk along the Furcia torrent, following path No. 32, then 3A uphill through the woods. Once you arrive at the detrital canal, path No. 3 takes a steep climb up to Forcella Tre Dita. Keep left - eventually you will be able to climb to the top of Punta Tre Dita (20 minutes, 2,480 meters above sea level), before proceeding on route No. 3 towards Colli Alti Lake (Lé de Fojedöra). On the route No. 6 and 32, you will continue towards the Lapadures Pass, then descend to the Cacciatori hut and cross through Langtal (Valle Lunga), where you will return to the starting point.

Tour of the Olang Dolomites

Departure: Passo Furcia | Difficulty: difficult | Duration: 8 h | Length: 20,3 km

Challenging but rewarding. By car, climb to the Furcia Pass. From here, take the path on the left (No. 3) up to Forcella Tre Dita and Passo della Croce (2,283 meters). Here, continue to Passo Foresta (No. 24), up to the Crippes di Sopra mountain farm and Forcella di Crippes (2,310 meters). After crossing Forcella di Senes (2,519 meters), you go down to Biella hut (2,300 meters). From here, follow path No. 1, and descend to the famous Lake Braies. You can return to Olang with the bus. Refreshment points along the route: Passo Furcia restaurant, Foresta mountain farm, Biella hut.

Trattes mountain farm tour

Authentic, original, romantic, pampering and pleasant: The Oberegger Mountain farm, very popular and appreciated, can be reached in just 40 minutes, starting from the Sorafurcia church (path No. 3). A good glass of wine, the secret recipes of mother and grandmother, a typical South Tyrolean cutting board with tasty speck and cheese, flowers and ornaments arranged with love and friendliness of the hosts make Oberegger mountain farm a place that you cannot miss during your trip.

Getting around by mountain bike

Cycling with the entire family on the convenient Puster Valley cycle path, cycling with friends on th downhill trails that descent from the Kronplatz, or cycling alone in the middle of the Fanes-Senes-Braies nature park: there are endless tours for any type of bike enthusiasts. Did you leave your bike at home? Don’t worry: the mountain bike rental store is just 2 minutes from our hotel.

Bagni Pervalle loop trail

Departure: Mitterolang | Difficulty: difficult | Length: 11,8 km | Change in level: 498 meters

A fun and varied tour along the Furcia torrent, amidst woods, meadows and fields, on asphalt mixed terrain and roads, with alternating steep and flat trails, and two refreshment points.

Bad Bergfall Bogen

Tour to the Lanzwiesenalm mountain farm

Departure: Mitterolang at the pavilion | Difficulty: medium | Length: 16,2 km | Change in level: 770 meters

A tour for demanding mountain bikers. From the village square head towards the church, then continue on path No. 7. The forest road winds through the woods, and so the tour is particularly enjoyable on hot summer days. Once at the Lanzwiesenalm farm, you can gain back your energy with a tasty dish.

Downhill & Freeride Trail on the Kronplatz

Freeriders looking for adrenaline can try their hand on 4 trails: one of easy/medium difficulty, two of medium difficulty and one difficult for the professionals of the sport.
